The CNC Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system, This position will be involved in planning, monitoring, change management, installations, upgrades, updates, system administration, security, package build and deployment and over-all architecture. This position will liaise with the IT department to ensure that all technology elements in regards to business process changes and application effectively integrate with the JD Edwards environment. This position will work closely with the Finance and Budget departments to assist in problem resolution and proactive maintenance. The incumbent requires knowledge of microcomputer hardware and software capabilities, including SQL, Windows XP/Vista and Windows Server; data processing concepts and procedures; theory and method of computer networking; troubleshooting techniques and practices; documentation standards; system interoperability; in-depth knowledge of client/server methodology, computer logic/programming knowledge and systems analysis/design skills .
Job Requirements:
1. Monitors, maintains, troubleshoots and supports the Windows deployment server, and administers the Citrix Server Farm and all system activities within EnterpriseOne.
2. Provide support to end-users and ensure connectivity and printing capability with thin and fat clients.
3. Works with the I.T. Technical Manager to ensure interconnec-tivity with the AS/400 and ensure all phases of the system are backed up and a recovery plan is in place.
4. Recommends appropriate upgrades to hardware and software within the EnterpriseOne System, based upon analysis of requirements, capacities and environment.
5. Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications, databases, connectivity and middleware, with emphasis on technical infrastructure.
6. Performs package builds and deployments as required.
7. Works with Oracle support and applies ESU’s to the system as necessary.
8. Writes reports using the JD Edwards Report Writer and meets project timelines and deliverables.
