The position is responsible for regulating the competency and quality of pharmacists, pharmacy ancillary personnel, and pharmaceutical firms by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing qualifications for licensing, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms, and discipline. The position is accountable for all aspects of program management including personnel administration, budget development and administration, legislation development, communications and public education. The position is also responsible and accountable for administering a biennium budget of more than $5 million dollars.
