Job Description:
Responsible for pre-school children which includes providing social, intellectual, emotional & physical development activities to meet the needs of sheltered children as well as meeting educational requirements within children's program. Provides counseling, advocacy, documentation, quality care, & therapeutic play with children in shelter to enhance their physical and emotional well being. Supervises, coordinates, & evaluates all operations of the program to meet program goals and objectives, consistent with agency's Strategic PlanFacilitates parenting classes & provides pre-school for children on a daily basis for three hours per day, rotates respite for children 2 and upConducts parent/child interactive activities including therapeutic play with childrenReviews with Emergency Shelter Manager any needs for new programs and/or program modifications.
