Job Description:
The Director is responsible for supervising all activities in the Inflammation therapeutic area, which includes 2 marketed products with multiple indications, and several pipeline candidates at various stages of development. Primary management responsibilities include:- Hiring, training, developing, and supervising medical writing associates and managers- Guiding or writing, rewriting, and editing materials for publication (eg, clinical study articles, literature reviews, abstracts) and presentation (eg, posters and slide decks for scientific congresses)- Allocating and managing resources across the team, including identifying, assessing, and hiring contract, temporary, and freelance writers, and working with and managing vendors- Owning the GMW budget for Inflammation products, with accountability for developing the budget, managing expenses, and forecasting- Operating within a joint venture agreement with a corporate partner and being diligent about the implications for joint publication planning and execution, budget, and review and approval of documents.
