Job Description:
The Senior Director of Cell Culture Process Development is responsible for directing and managing diverse activities related to process development, manufacturing support and technology development of Genzyme\'s late stage biologics pipeline. The incumbent will lead a team of scientific and technical staff that will provide consistent support to licensed products, as well as the development, scale up & transfer of new bioprocesses to Manufacturing. This postion reports to the Vice President of Technology Development, and is expected to ensure that the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance are maintained in the workplace, and operate under the regulatory requirements. The individual is expected to develop a short-term plan and long-term strategy, and to integrate these with the objectives of other departments in Technology Development, Science and Manufacturing. Responsibilities include: As a Senior Staff member of Technology Development, contribute to strategic and tactical decision making. Provide representations on Corporate and Operations project teams Enhance department with new competencies, technical and leadership depth. Support staff development to maximize individual and team performance
