Provides consultation to medical staff and the department of Anatomic Pathology in interpretation and identification of necessary tests, aiding in patient diagnosis. Serves as peer to, and shares equal responsibility, with the Director/Professor of the Cytogenetics Department. Requirements: Essential qualifications include an M.D. or Ph.D., clinical cytogenetic certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics, California licensure, and five years of experience in cancer cytogenetics and molecular cytogenetic techniques.
