Astellas is announcing a Manager, Clinical Studies (Cardiovascular) position opportunity at our Deerfield, IL location. Responsible for coordinating and managing 1 or more clinical studies with minimal direction. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned studies. Assures quality of key study team deliverables, such as monitoring plan, study protocols and CRF data. Involved in data reviews and preparation of clinical study reports. Manages cross-functional teams, including outside vendors. Manages study budgets. Assists in the planning and preparation of the clinical development plan. Assists in preparation of INDs, NDAs and other documents intended for submission to the FDA. Responsible for assuring compliance with Astellas procedures and and relevant FDA/ICH requirements. Participates in process improvement initiatives affecting Clinical Studies and R&D. Position Requirements B.S./B.S.N., RN, M.S. in life sciences or Pharm D. with at least five years clinical trials management or equivalent experience. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, administrative skills and computer ability as well as working knowledge of protocols, clinical drug development process and clinical study design and planning. Must have sufficient therapeutic area and drug knowledge to support internal and external presentations
