Responsibilities include serving as the first level supervisor of the BIP Team; management of the nationwide National Park Service (NPS) bridge safety inspection program as well as for several other federal land management agencies; ensuring general uniformity between the Safety Inspection Program and the Western Federal Lands Highway Division's Bridge Safety Inspection Program for the Bureau of Land Management; and providing assistance . The Structural Engineer develops overall policy and provides overall QAlQC for all BIP activities. Ideal Candidate will manages Bridge Inspection Program activities for FLH. In this position he/she must be knowledgeable about all aspects of bridge inspection including NBIS criteria, structural analysis and load rating, inspection procedures and equipment, bridge repair and rehabilitation.
