Establishes and administers criteria for the operation of LANs and WANs.Develops system plans and analysis for project forecasting and work distribution. Oversees testing of programs that support computer systems. Writes and edits program narratives, system tests and data conversion plans, and instructs staff in system program procedures and methodology. Researches, evaluates, and recommends the procurement of network products and services. Prepares budgetary information for assigned departments concerning network system plans, computer services, and operations. Establishes policies and procedures to enhance and maintain network system requirements and support the technology needs of departmental users. Serves as a liaison between departmental information systems staff and information technology personnel.
