Job Description:
The career-conditional appointment must have been in the last three years or applicant must be eligible for transfer from another federal agency. Under certain circumstances the three-year time limit on career-conditional appointments can be extended. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: Applicants applying under Reinstatement/Transfer are also required to submit a SF-50, Notification of Personnel Action, or equivalent agency specific form, showing proof of career status and the salary you earned in the federal government within the last two years of civilian service to determine your appropriate rate of pay, if hired. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to be eligible for reinstatement or transfer under this category, applicants must have held, on a permanent basis, a position at the highest grade level stated, or have held a position with promotion potential to the highest grade level stated. An SF-50 or equivalent agency form must be included with your application that reflects this attainment. VETERANS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES ACT OF 1998 (Company): Open to separated military members who meet the eligibility requirements of this authority. Veterans must be a preference eligible OR a veteran separated after 3 or more years of continuous active service performed under honorable conditions. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: Applicants applying under Company are required to submit a legible DD 214, Member copy 4, showing the type of discharge granted for each period of military service or Service copy 7. Applicants who are claiming 10-point veteran's preference must also submit a Standard Form 15 with proof of preference as required by this form. In lieu of a DD 214 an official memo from the Command Support Staff that provides date of separation, terminal leave date, dates of service and expected character of service may be submitted if not currently separated or retired.
