Job Description:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.5 years of job-related experience, including experience working on NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT), NJ Turnpike Authority and/or Garden State Parkway construction projects.Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in heavy highway construction.Training certificates in SAT (asphalt), ACI (concrete), TCC (traffic control) and ACI-CCTC (concrete construction).Able to read and interpret construction plans, specifications and inspection procedures.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000, Access, etc.).Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Able to mentor support staff in functional areas of roadway and structure construction inspection activities.Effective time-management skills.Strong mathematical skills including algebra, geometry and trigonometry.Valid Driver's License.Must obtain negative result in drug screening performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
