Job Description:
Demonstration project employee is selected through competitive procedures to fill another demonstration project position that is at the same pay band as their current position or has no greater pay potential, they may be provided under specific circumstances with a pay increase of up to 5% upon reassignment. When a demonstration project employee is selected through competitive procedures to fill another demonstration project position that has higher pay potential than their current position, their pay generally will be increased by 8% unless a greater increase is necessary to set pay at the minimum rate of the normal range of the higher level pay band. Major Duties: Incumbent directs, manages, and supervises a tactical unit to provide safe transportation of nuclear weapons components, and/or special material while also maximizing security and safety of the public and the environment. Performs full scope of supervisory responsibilities to include, assigning and reviewing work of subordinates, evaluates performance, and effects minor disciplinary actions.
