Job Description:
Open to all citizens and to all competitive status candidates (current Federal employees who serve under a competitive career-career conditional appointment in the competitive service), reinstatement eligibles (former Federal employees who served under a career appointment in the competitive service), and Company eligibles (veterans with preference and veterans who have been honorably discharged and substantially completed at least 3 years of continuous active duty service); those who are eligible for special or noncompetitive appointment authorities such as 30% or more compensably disabled veterans, persons with disabilities, and ICTAP eligibles. This announcement may be used to fill one or more vacancies. employees are subject to 24 hour on-call in the event of any emergency. This service may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites that require functioning under intense physical and mental stress.
