Certification prior to hiring is not essential but must be accomplished within 24 months after entry into this position. The Missile Defense Agency develops and fields an integrated Ballistic Missile Defense System capable of providing a layered defense for the homeland, deployed forces, friends, and allies against ballistic missiles of all ranges in all phases of flight.
