Position: The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the production for a $140 million 250+ employee manufacturing operation involved in machining and assembly of pressure relief valves. Duties and responsibilities include managing daily operations, monitoring production, staffing and human relations, setting and developing projects, and upholding policies and integrity. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manages 3 managers and 3 supervisors in various areas of production 2. Monitors production on CNC machines, heat treat and manual machines 3. Works with Planning, Engineering, etc. to solve manufacturing operational problems 4. Follows scheduling priorities and maintains close liaison with Production Control to ensure parts and material are available to the department to maintain continuity in production schedules. 5. Assists in the assignment of employees to specific duties and instructs in proper methods to perform assignments so as to ensure established production standards. 6. Demonstrates a high degree of expertise in the efficient operation of the machining operations department. 7. Conducts performance evaluations on direct reports and oversees performance evaluations, recommended merit increases, promotions, transfers, and other personnel actions of hourly employees.
