PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: An undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil Engineering with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license. 15+ years experience working on progressively larger highway/roadway/bridge projects with greater responsibility. Established credibility as someone who can deliver a project on time and within budget. Technically astute and able to follow and critique complex issues related to design, construction, regulatory permits, finance and politics. A goal-oriented problem solver. Completely comfortable overseeing teams of professionals, whether for a design project or a construction management project. Has track record of winning work for his/her previous employer, and is affable and comfortable at association gatherings, meeting new people and making presentations. Has current, established relationships in upper management with major road and highway entities, such as Arizona Department of Transportation. For RFQ/RFP pursuits, should be able to assemble a team, structure the proposal approach, manage the interview and, if successful, oversee the work. This would probably be in the capacity of a Program Manager or Senior Project Manager. On occasion, at the client\'s insistence, the successful candidate would devote himself/herself to a single project on a full time basis.
