Job Description:
PURPOSE: Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for Cost Accounting (Decision Support), Performance Reporting, Pricing, and Financial Planning. The Financial Planning Functions facilitates Company Northwest's Business Performance Analysis, Operating and Capital Financial Forecasts, Operating and Capital Business Plan and Budget, and Business Cases. The Department also organizes and manages the capital approval process within the organization up to $1B. Financial Planning and Analysis supports operations and other functional areas and provides objective, informed analysis to achieve profitable growth. Key clients of the Financial Planning and Analysis department include medical operations, health plan administration, product and business development, regional administration, compliance, human resources, dental and other divisions. Financial Planning and Analysis also supports requests from Program Office. The Director is responsible for organization of the processes which produce the regional operating and capital strategic financial plan, multi-year projections, quarterly re-forecast of the next eight quarters, budget, rate setting, member forecasting and monthly analysis of results. The Director also staffs specific initiatives including business cases and performance reporting. The Director organizes the processes in collaboration with Regional, Strategic Planning, Sales and Marketing, Medical Operations as well as Program Office personnel, as appropriate to consolidate and validate the budgets, forecasts and monthly analyses, and to prepare appropriate documentation including narratives and presentations as appropriate.
