Job Description:
Maintains continual communication with Inmate Day Labor, Prison Industry Authority, Maintenance and Culinary, and Custody staff to ensure proper programming of inmates housed at FMSF. Coordinates with other facility counselor services assuring consistency of services. 10% General Administrative and Custodial Duties Prepares training agenda and conducts in-service training on classification applications, laws, rules, regulations, and related issues for institutional staff. Prepares and disseminates information on casework activity changes and operations. Supervises CC I sign-in/sign-out procedures under the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Responsible for the preparation of written correspondence sent to Judges, District Attorney Offices, and Counseling staff. Prepares written policies and procedures for Counseling staff. Disseminates written instructions to staff on processing technical data related to the inmate\'s commitment, release or discharge date. Prepares Ad Hoc management information reports and status reports on casework activity in progress. Collects, complies and analyzes data required for management information reports on casework activity. Delivers presentations to executive staff on casework issues and activity. Participates in meetings, subcommittees and conferences regarding counseling services and casework activity in progress.
