Responsibilities: Serve as a resource person, establish and maintain referral networks and coordinate off-campus counseling referrals. Participate in the training of Residence Life staff and other members of the Cornerstone community. Conduct mental health assessments and where appropriate refer students for additional psychological and psychiatric evaluation and treatment. Consult with faculty, parents, student groups, resident life professionals and other administrators when appropriate and necessary. Be available 24 hours/7 days a week for emergency consultation in crisis situations needing psychological counseling intervention involving Cornerstone students.. Be an advocate for Quality of Care for students who have been hospitalized in a psychiatric facility.
