Job Description:
The Quality Auditor ensures that proper inspection techniques are utilized, while performing incoming inspection in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to blueprint specifications
•Contain non-conforming parts and/or subassemblies
•Rectify non-conforming material by rework and sorting
•Determine the method and process needed to measure blueprint conformance on parts according to tolerances and normal gage practices
•Document and report non-conformance to specifications in computerized quality documentation system
•Prioritize inspection of short-quantity loads and manage FIFO flow of received loads
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE
•Must be able to read and interpret engineering blueprints
•Understand and interpret GD&T symbols
•Interpret customer engineering specifications
•Perform proper gage selection
•Utilize correct measurement techniques
o Calipers
o Micrometers
o Bore gages
o Depth measurements
o Thread plug and ring gages
o Surface finish
•Perform visual inspection
o Welds
o Paint
o Surface Defects
o Cleanliness
o Packaging
•Safely handle and maintain precision gages and measurement equipment
•Repackage inspected material
•Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks, Worksavers, jib hoists, and forklift
•Basic knowledge of computer software programs
