Interested in working for an exciting, innovative company and enjoy challenging projects in a collaborative culture? Then we are the place for you! Our Integrated Solutions Group (ISG) is looking for a GIS and Database Analyst with an excellent work ethic to work in our Portland, Oregon, office.
This position requires the applicant to work effectively as part of a GIS team and to communicate technology needs and opportunities to internal staff and existing or target clients. Applicant must feel comfortable to build the GIS practice through internal marketing. Presentations to the company and marketing interviews will be required.

Job Requirements:
Successful candidates should have at least 6 years of experience and must demonstrate expertise in the following:
Advanced knowledge of map production using ArcGIS 9.x, integration of ArcGIS with AutoCAD, Strong knowledge of ArcGIS 9.x and ArcGIS extensions, including Spatial Analyst, and 3-D Analyst. Specific experience with Earthsofts EQuIS environmental data management system. High level of creativity and strong interest in exploring new technologies relative to geographic analysis.
B.S. in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Cartography, Planning, Groundwater Resources, Geology, Engineering or GIS related field or equivalent experience.
Experience in environmental consulting, including water resources, planning, geology and geomorphology, infrastructure, etc.
Experience using elevation data such as DEMs, LiDAR, survey data for advanced procedures.
Experience and interest in developing spatial analysis tools for ecological and human risk assessment of toxic substances.
Experience managing environmental data projects using EQuIS, including coordinating with field and lab personnel.
Knowledge of GIS dataset types and imagery formats, data resources, and limitations.
Experience creating clear and concise display graphics, for reports, presentations, etc.
Strong background working with software, such as Excel and Access to derive meaningful results from various types of data using queries, etc.
Programming/scripting experience, including Visual Basic, Python, AML, and SQL, and ArcObjects application development is a plus
Organizing and maintaining large datasets as well as familiarity with local and regional environmental data specifically creating geodatabases.
Good interpersonal skills and an enjoyment of working with people as much as technology is a must.
You will be required to travel at times, at minimum to other company offices and if needed project site visits.
