Job Description:
FPL is currently searching for a Sourcing Specialist to execute the labor sourcing process for assigned business areas (Transmission and/or Distribution) and implements policies and programs directed towards providing contracted services and materials. Develops and executes complex sourcing agreements containing unique terms and conditions with little or no management oversight. Key responsibilities include: Responsibilities: Execute the sourcing process for assigned areas. Analyze responses to complex bid requests including the ability to distill commercial differences and bring forward succinct recommendations for assistance in selecting the appropriate supplier for contract award. Conduct complex negotiations successfully under aggressive time demands. Lead and/or participate on sourcing project teams. Recommend and communicate sourcing strategy, progress and results to supervision and ISC management. Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers; conduct industry analysis and evaluate supplier performance. Provide market data to support supplier selection, qualification and on-going performance management. Drive down the total cost of ownership. Participate in sourcing data analysis, forecasting and planning. Develop new sources of supply and monitor ongoing supplier performance. Assist in managing the external spend. Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations.

Undergraduate degree with a preference in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related fields preferred;
MBA highly desired
Minimum of four years related experience required (or strong technical background in T&D operations)
Demonstrated successful experience in sourcing
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
