Job Description:
The position will manage risk and is responsible for making sound credit decisions while consistently applying the underwriting standards necessary to maintain the credit quality objectives of the company. Oversees the credit approval process, credit administration, and asset quality of SunTrust Community Capital. Provides a leadership role in modeling and disseminating the company's credit culture, growth strategy, and talent management objectives. Partners with LOBs to develop and execute profitable business strategies in a proactive and efficient manner. Responsible for managing risk with commitments generally between $500MM - $1.5B, approval authority up to $7MM with a more complex book of business. May manage others. Minimum Requirements: + years of related experience Highly developed lending/credit underwriting and decision making experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and administrative skills Strong problem solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach to work Bachelor's Degree Preferred Requirements: Line experience strongly preferred, as is hands on credit decisioning experience Commercial Real Estate experience Experience with community development debt and equity capital, the structuring of transactions involving affordable housing developments, mixed-use developments and developments utilizing tax credits (LIHTC, Historic & NMTC) along with multiple layers of federal, state, and local loans, grants and subsidies. wraptext
