Job Description:
The Assistant Production Manager assists in the process from seasonal development of product to manufacturing process in alignment with the divisional sourcing strategy, as well as the Product life Cycle (PLC). Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Maintains SMS system and creates style numbers Manages purchase order requests and revisions. Requests and tracks all samples (line building,1st fit , marketing, production samples). Prepares and assists with pre-classification process. Assists with bulk fabric commitments. Requests and tracks development testing and samples. Creates and maintains seasonal re-cap charts. Communicates status of color and fabric/yarn research and development. Maintains departmental files within the sourcing systems. Builds collaborative relationships with the cross functional team members. Daily correspondence with overseas offices and third party vendors Handles other responsibilities and projects, as assignedPosition Requirements: Bachelors degree, in a related field of study, or equivalent functional experience Minimum 1 year of experience in Production or Development Detail oriented, with strong organizational capabilities.
