SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Director of Finance reports to the Deputy Executive Director and is the main financial officer and controller for Affordable Housing Associates. The Director of Finance manages the accounting operations of the organization including budgeting, auditing, payroll, accounts payable and receivables, general ledger and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies and procedures. Oversees the development and implementation of new financial systems including new financial and accounting software and computer systems. Interprets accounting reports to management and board of directors. Supervises four-person accounting department. Safeguards assets through sound investment strategies and maintenance of proper controls. Member of Senior Management Team
