This is a rare opportunity at a top Manhattan-based global entertainment firm! General Duties include performing financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis functions integral to supporting the business operations. The well qualified candidate will possess a four year degree in Finance or Accounting, three or more years of relevant experience (media or entertainment experience preferred), professional presentation, and exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Primary areas of responsibility include the following: Preparation of weekly sales, P&L reports and summary of future marketing spend for all current priority releases. Responsible for maintenance of the Microsoft Access Sales Forecast database, including preparation of monthly sales forecasts, ensuring accuracy of pricing and configuration mix assumptions, updating forecasted and actual units, etc. Preparation of the annual business plan and monthly P&L forecast, including development of royalty and manufacturing cost of sales estimates, and responsibility for maintenance of all relevant revenue, cost of sales, marketing and overhead financial models, including updating monthly actuals. Review and analysis of monthly financial results including, but not limited to: researching general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, analyzing account balances and transaction detail, balance sheet analysis, corporate reporting, review of monthly marketing spend by department, etc. Sales, marketing, talent and overhead analysis and preparation of financial schedules in connection with routine senior management business review meetings. Develop and maintain queries to retrieve financial data from proprietary label finance systems, Access database, SAP Preparation of pro-forma artist release P&L's and breakeven unit analysis, as appropriate
