Job Description:
The division is comprised of twenty departments with a combined budget of $521M+. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Accounting, the Executive Director oversees all significant aspects of the division's accounting and finance activities. The Executive Director conducts periodic divisional audits, ensures all accounting and finance policies are consistent with GAAP and University policies, and implements proper controls as needed. Additionally, the Executive Director designs and leads all divisional financial training initiatives as well as develops performance enhancement plans for the finance staff. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and at least five years' related fiscal administrative experience required. Budget experience in a university or not-for-profit setting preferred. Master's degree in business administration or related field a plus. Strong strategic and analytical ability, including experience in cost accounting, budget development, cost/benefit analysis, financial applications and accounting systems required. Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Must be flexible, organized, capable of performing multiple tasks, and comfortable working under deadlines.
