Job Description:
Responsibilities: Establishes and recommends major economic objectives and policies for the agency Devises and implements control systems necessary for the efficient running of the agency Prepares reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position in areas of revenues, expenditures and earnings including current and projected operation. Prepares and analyzes financial statements and budgets along with variance reports for senior management, including presentation of monthly financial data Works with auditors to ensure audit is completed in a timely fashion Oversees all insurance requirements and ensures the agency has adequate insurance coverage for employee health benefits and risk management Provides oversight of legal, finance, audit and investment committees. Sits on committees and acts as liaison with daily activities with outside organizations as required Oversees all financial activities for fundraising events, reviews and approves all agency contracts, reports and payments. Prepares information necessary for special projects as deemed necessary by the Executive Director and attends out of town conferences as required Additional Qualifications: Position Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, who posses great presentation skills, a team player with knowledge of operations, human resources and facilities management. Master\'s Degree or equivalent in business or accounting 7 - 10 years experience in accounting/finance in a non-profit environment Proven management and analytical skills with advanced communication skills Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
