Job Description: Executive Service Corps of New England Reports to: Vice President Position Summary: The Manager of Training and Recruitment is a key member of the Consulting Practice staff. The Manager will provide overall leadership, direction and management in order to carry out ESC's training programs and recruitment strategies and to meet annual goals and objectives for training and recruitment. The Manager will design, review, implement and provide oversight for new and existing training programs, and develop appropriate recruitment efforts. Specific Duties include: 1. Manage current volunteer training program Develop in conjunction with the Vice President the strategic and program planning for training programs, the delivery of those programs and the evaluation of the results of the programs Map training strategy for year incorporating needs of Consulting Practice, including the needs of clients and ESC consultants Collaborate with and provide staff support for ESC's Training faculty Provide an annual calendar of ESC training program for review and input from the Vice President and key constituents in the Consulting Practice Provide budget and business plan development, financial management and fiscal oversight of the training program Manage logistical needs for all trainings including: Determine timing and budgets for ordering books, materials & supplies Oversee the production of training materials (print, copy, bind). 2. Research and develop new training curriculum Manage the development of training sessions collaborating with and leading ESC faculty Assist ESC faculty with program content development Manage and develop training sessions for client community, including ESC speakers program, collaborative education efforts with other organizations, etc. 3. Manage the assessment, design and delivery of appropriate programs and curriculum for adult learners Identify skills available within current consultant base and skills needed to meet needs of clients Assist Consulting Practice - specifically the Vice President, Practice Leaders, and Lead Consultants - in capitalizing on ESC consultants' interests, skills and availability Conduct research on relevant topics for the ESC training program 4
