Join HHS and help to make our world healthier, safer and better for all AmericansMajor Duties:DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT: The incumbent serves as Pharmacist/Program Specialist and provides direct supply support and management assistance to over three hundred Indian Health Service and tribally operated health care facilities located in all twelve Indian Health Service geographical Areas in the United States. The NSSC manages 2000 inventory items, including complex high value pharmaceuticals, controlled drugs, medical surgical, dental, radiological and laboratory supplies. The average value of these and administrative supply inventory is $1.5 million and the annual issue value exceeds $15 million. Incumbent serves as supervisor of the Pharmacy Support Branch at the National Supply Service Center. The Pharmacy Support Branch coordinates the Indian Health Service Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Program and oversees day-to-day management functions.
