Job Description: Resources, Labor Relations Director and field Human Resources to develop and implement proactive / preventative employee and labor relations initiatives, develop HR plans to support business objectives, and develop and implement standard HR policies and processes. Job Responsibilities Execution (50%) 1. Provide advice and input on local compensation issues 2. Execute action plans in response to engagement, exit and pulse surveys 3. Execute CRS initiatives 4. Lead change training, embed change management tools and methodology into the business 5. Lead and develop impact plans business changes requiring behavior change 6. Teaching managers that the number one priority for a manger is providing thoughtful guidance to their direct reports 7. Determine organizational health: listening sessions, pulse surveys, established management routines and visibility 8. Conflict management: general employee issues, formal investigations, hotline calls, grievances, arbitrations and mediations (labor, solutions and EEOC) 9. Union avoidance coaching and training 10. Performance management (PIPs) 11. Negotiations preparation and bargaining 12. Contract administration 13. Performance appraisals 14. Execute strategies to increase retention of higher performing employees, e.g., exit interview data 15. Communicate, train and execute AAPs Participate in local outreach 16. Policy/process questions 17. Work with functional leads to conduct workplace planning 18. Implement process improvement and value that improves capability, added result function or enterprise-wide 19. Strike contingency 20. Facility staff meetings 21. Open enrollment meetings Strategy (40%) 1. Current and long-rage people strategy development and planning for the designated function and within BU 2. Organizational effectiveness and efficiency 3. Create and foster an inclusive culture by attracting, developing and retaining a highly talented and diverse workforce 4
