ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The AD works within a regional team 1) Identifying and qualifying new prospects to their list, not only to maintain it against natural attrition, but to ensure a growth model for the overall program. 2) Cultivating individuals on their core list through substantial interactions (moves) that are designed to deepen and broaden relationships and encourage long-term commitment to the organization at the highest levels of philanthropy possible. The AD must do so in a manner that is consistent with solid fundraising practices and in a donor-centric manner. 3) Soliciting gifts above $10,000, balancing the organizations need for unrestricted, full-mission funds with the potential donors need to restrict in order to maximize their giving. The AD must be capable of closing gifts of $1 million or more and able to work with multiple partners to advance complex donor relationships. Call, write letters and travel to visit face-to-face with generous annual donors to identify individuals capable of future major giving. Develop appropriate donor strategies in collaborative environment w/the Director Budget, and help set regional team goals for dollars raised and moves management objectives. Educate volunteers and board members to fundraising and involve them as partners in major gift development. NOTES: Telecommuting is allowed. US Residents Only Requirements 3 - 5 years experience in major gift fundraising Demonstrated success in personal solicitation of major gifts Computer skills with Microsoft Suite programs and the organizations intranet and donor database tools Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills Frequent travel as needed Knowledgeable about Alzheimers disease and dementia, as well as Association programs and services (preferable) To apply online: (preferred method)
