Job Description:
GENERAL UTILITY WORKER
Performs a variety of utility duties including floors, trash, miscellaneous cleaning activities, maintenance and sanitation duties in accordance with ARAMARK safety and sanitation standards.
a) Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standards and regulations. Adheres to sanitation, safety policies and accident reporting procedures.
b) Adhere to guidelines for using chemicals.
c) Assist with general cleaning duties in store rooms, kitchens and warehouse.
d) Sweep and clean floor immediately after the meal period.
e) Clean walls, vents and docks as needed.
f) Remove refuse, cleans trash containers and maintains loading dock area in an orderly fashion.
g) Clean refrigerators, stoves and storage areas. Make sure food lines are properly cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the Cook. (Including cleaning of kitchen equipment)
h) Assist in dish room operations as assigned.
i) Report any maintenance problems to the Food Service Director or Lead Supervisor.
j) Completes all required training.
k) Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsible for hands-on general duties to ensure a safe kitchen environment. Generally reports to the Food Service Director and or Lead Supervisor.
a) High school education or equivalent experience preferred.
b) Minimum one-year maintenance work in a food service related environment preferred.
c) Knowledge of chemicals, safety and sanitation.
d) Must be able to read and write to facilitate proper communication with others.
e) Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
f) Must maintain security clearance.
