Job Description:
As the steward for the assigned discipline, the instructor is accountable for program health in the role of Champion. This position act as the single point of contact for training programs. 5.) Provides expertise in the implementation of the Training Systems Development process by directing and coaching instructors and line personnel as assigned by the General Supervisor. Acts as a mentor for junior department and line personnel for personal development. 6.) The instructor provides functional supervision of students in the training environment 7.) Models line manager standards and expectations. Reinforces the use of error prevention tools, safe worker practices, techniques, and the principles for a strong nuclear safety culture in all training. 8.) Evaluates trainee performance in the classroom, on-the-job and in the laboratory settings. 9.) Implements the corrective action and self-assessment programs with a passion for continuous improvement. 10.) Works closely with line customers to ensure alignment on performance issues, standards and expectations, initiatives and priorities. Owns line performance. 11.) Coordinates training committees and ensures that meeting minutes are developed, action items are tracked, decisions are documented, training requests are dispositioned, involvement is monitored, agenda items are covered, and SAT processes followed.. 12.) Support job functions in the outage and emergency response organizations as assigned.
