Job Description:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Arranging the purchase of vehicles in lots by wholesale dealers and auctioneers to reduce the size of the fleet to desirable levels, dispose of unwanted vehicles, and increase profitability. In addition, the Wholesale Manager will partner with Fleet Managers to determine the number of vehicles available for sale and coordinate the shuttling of vehicles to designated areas; inspect vehicles to evaluate the extent of damage or wear to determine a fair market value (may partner with Damage Manager to evaluate damage) and maintain a list of all assigned vehicles and their condition. Also, develop working relationships with local wholesale dealers and arrange meetings to provide information on the number and type of vehicles being offered; determine and negotiate vehicle pricing based on auction reports, retail prices, market conditions, and vehicle availability; ensure receipt of payment and contact references to establish credit worthiness and prepare all bills of sale, odometer statements, and other documents required for processing.
