Provides guidance with respect to the job description writing procedures to ensure accuracy and conformity. Manages the determination of appropriate base pay levels according to compensation guidelines. Reviews and approves salary increases permitted within budgetary limits and according to established compensation policies. Advises management on compensation actions for employees. Analyzes company policies in relation to wage and hour regulations. Analyzes organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for salary and job level changes to ensure internal as well as external equity.Provides analysis of costs and trends; provides analytical and data management support for measurement and tracking of key HR metrics. Works in conjunction with appropriate subject matter experts to help ensure all compensation programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements Reviews and analyzes changes to state and federal laws, advises management on impact to plans, and implements courses of action. Participates in compensation surveys and conducts benchmarking studies. Performs fiscal calendar compensation processes such as merit planning, wage proposals and ad hoc requests. Maintains strong knowledge of company compensation plans.
