Job Description:
Assesses the client for physical injury following the ESI. Performs medication passes throughout the day of both medicinal and psychotropic medications and maintains competency standards regarding the side effects and acceptable dosage levels. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care, treatment, and services for the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents. Demonstrates knowledge of the individual needs, behaviors, and signs and symptoms of common mental disorders as well as an understanding of the principles of human growth and development over the lifespan. Uses these skills and knowledge to provide needed care and treatment to children and adolescents.2. Regulatory: Maintains refrigerator temperatures and check off on register to ensure stability of both specimen and injectable medication environments. 3. Administrative: Maintains the organization of the medication cart, assists with the completion of prior authorizations necessary to obtain medications, receives/verifies count of medications delivered by the pharmacy. 4. Documentation/Record Keeping: Data entry into Ecet computerized charting system for record keeping, preparation of discharge paperwork, assists with the completion of admission paperwork, documentation of all medical issues per procedure. 5. Safety/Risk Management: Maintains working knowledge of crisis intervention, safety protocols, and emergency safety reponse procedures regarding care of client per facility regulations.
