Job Description:
Supervise staff as they engage in daily practice operations that include (but are not limited to) patient check-in, telephone communication, exam room preparation, patient education, patient check-out and follow-up, and generating reports. * Determine staff schedules and manage vacation/sick/personal time to ensure that there is adequate coverage for the practice at all times.* Meet regularly with staff to discuss pertinent issues.* Motivate staff and perform corrective action as needed; complete periodic performance evaluations of all staff.* Assist in the recruitment/hiring process for new staff members; train new staff members.* Monitor use of practice supplies and request purchase orders as necessary; maintain record of invoices submitted to the practice.* Assist the Departmental Administrator in determining budgetary needs for the practice.* Assist the department management and physicians in the development and implementation of workflow processes/procedures designed to increase practice efficiency. Perform physician orientation for new faculty members.* Provide managerial and administrative support to five satellite offices and the Otology Center. * Perform other duties as requested.Requirements are as follows:* Bachelors Degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years management experience in a physician office setting.
