The Operations Officer will report to the Sector Manager, Social Protection based in HQ, but would work primarily as a team member of the Human Development Group in the LCC2C (Central America) Managua-based-office, in the coordination, development and delivery of the Human Development portfolio. The HD assistance program is characterized by its focus on responding to the needs of an IDA client that often seeks just-in-time advice and support, and a strong multi-sectoral, PRSP-framed, perspective. As needed, the Operations Officer will work in education, health and social protection sectors alike. Duties and Accountabilities The person will report to the Sector Leader and will be assigned to the appropriate Sector Manager, as appropriate The Operations Office will work with the Task Managers of the health, education and social protection sectors, under the supervision of the Sector Leader... The Operations Officer will also be expected to work in close coordination with the Senior Country Operations Officer and the Country Manager for Nicaragua. Specific Duties will include: 1. Serve as Operations Officer, supporting the teams in a range of portfolio and operational issues in Nicaragua related to Human Development (health, education and social protection). 2. Participate in, or as appropriate lead, the identification, preparation, appraisal, negotiations and supervision, (and completion reporting) of HD lending and trust funds to ensure client responsiveness within a framework of consistency and conformity to Bank procedures guidelines and standards.
