Job Description:
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field, e.g., physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions. The Job Specific questions relate to the following knowledges, skills and abilities required to do the work of this position: Professional knowledge of engineering theories, principles, practices, designs and techniques in order to conceive, design, review, construct, or oversee engineering and maintenance projects involving roads, reservoirs, facilities, and range improvements within the Knowledge of the basic resource programs, activities, and constraints is necessary in order to identify the applicable laws, regulations, policies, or procedures related to engineering and maintenance that will meet resource management objectives. Knowledge and ability to supervise, or direct, the work of a variety of professional, technical, and wage grade staff across administrative boundaries.
