This role also performs a mentoring function with the relationship managers, team leaders, regional managers and business banking customers to insure the requisite level of technical expertise. Incumbents are responsible for the credit quality of the portfolio of loans approved under their respective authority.Some travel within your assigned territory will be required -- typicaly 4 to 6 trips per year for regional meetings and customer visits. Responsibilities: · Adjudicate traditional and moderately complex applications for credit submitted by relationship managers in their assigned regions and oversee a portfolio of up to $500 million.· Participate in monitoring the credit quality of the loan portfolio in their assigned geography. This includes monitoring delinquency, catalog loans, non- performing loans, charge- offs and recoveries and also ensuring appropriate risk ratings for credits in the portfolio. Ensure that collateral exceptions and policy violations are minimized and that lines and loans are renewed and reviewed in a timely manner in conjunction with the Portfolio Administration Unit and Business Bankers.· Meet with relationship managers quarterly. Work with relationship managers in their assigned markets to enhance their credit skills.· Monitor field overrides in their assigned region and provide feedback on Business Bankers to Senior Management as appropriate.
