Job Description:
The position works with State, local and Federal agencies, public bodies and non-profit organizations on a wide range of issues related to the development of rural communities. Monitors and inspects the various phases of a wide range of Rural Development financed projects. The incumbent assists the Area Office personnel with the administration of the various loan and grant programs for rural community development and provides outreach and training. Types of loans and grants include Community Facilities/Programs, and Water and Wastewater programs. Qualifications: Experience that demonstrates competence in agricultural, commercial, realty, or other types of loans. Experience may have been gained in such work as reviewing and passing upon applications for agricultural, commercial, bank or mortgage loans; servicing a loan portfolio of a bank or other loan association; performing financial analysis of commercial concerns for investment purposes; appraising real estate to determine property valuation; or similar work. To qualify based on education, submit copy of transcript or list of courses with credit hours, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
