Job Description:

The Branch of Engineering is responsible for survey, design, construction and maintenance of buildings, structures, recreation facilities, bridges and other facilities, and for the direction, technical guidance, and assistance in design and construction of transportation routes and access roads on Bureau administered lands in the Coos Bay District. Incumbent is responsible for professional design and review of all phases of Bureau civil engineering work. The incumbent conducts technical studies and investigations and is relied upon as an authoritative source for technical information and recommendations, and is responsible for technical adequacy of construction projects. Responsible for full administration of personnel management and concepts, principles, and procedures for administrative supervision and direction of a staff composed of technical and professional positions. The incumbent is the program leader for all District construction and maintenance programs for buildings, recreational sites and roads. Directly responsible for the direction, coordination, scheduling, monitoring, and preparation of the Budget and Annual Work Plan. Incumbent manages the Major Drainage Structure program on the Coos Bay District.
