Job Description:
Specific Responsibilities Manage employees and hands-on operation of the companys manufacturing function. Ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness. Recommends equipment improvement or replacement and plant layout changes with appropriate studies and cost analysis. Develops proposals for capital expenditures and makes budget recommendations for manufacturing operation. Work closely with theof Sales on manufacturing plans, goals, and future product innovations. Develop and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on product costs and margins. Has primary management responsibility for all manufacturing operating expenses. Create metrics and tools to measure key performance indicators such as quality, safety, productivity, scrap rates, labor efficiencies, on time delivery, machine down time, and inventory levels to ensure operations are running in an efficient manner. Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and direction to assigned staff, including hiring, performance management, training and professional development. Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand. Manage all key manufacturing and facility expansion projects.
