Job Description:
Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved. Establish/modify/monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources of own section and support groups to meet/exceed business objectives and goals. Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization. Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and improved interpersonal skills. Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the section/organization to customer/business needs. Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science At least 3 additional years of experience in a leadership role within an engineering environment Desired Solid understanding of equipment function and maintenance requirementogramming experience Working knowledge of estimating, proposals and the marketing function In-depth background with tooling, fixtures and functional gauges Negotiation skills for major equipment purchases Solid Program Management experience Results oriented, strong bias for action, self-motivated and self-directed Skilled in talent management including the ability to develop, train, coach, and mentor engineers and other related disciplines. Able to set clear expectations, goals and hold employees accountable.
