Are you a new grad with a degree in procurement? Do you have 1-4 years buying experience? What about working with electronic component and retrieving orders? If so, this could be the job for you.
Beckman Coulter is now looking for a Commodity Specialist! We are now seeking a hardworking, driven individual to work as a Commodity Specialist with a growing manufacturer of biomedical testing instruments in Porterville, California 93257.
This is a challenging role. The incumbent plans and buys one or more specific commodities consistent with total quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This person must keeps abreast of industry trends for assigned commodities that may affect quality, cost, availability, and/or risk. Also establishes and maintains supplier relationships to minimize risk and disruptions and manages the supplier base and contract adherence.
The position requires someone to work independently on routine work with no instruction, but would receive general instructions on new assignments. The commodity specialist follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing data from which answers can be readily obtained, handles problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors, and adheres to policies and procedures.
Do you have?
- Tactical understanding of electronic data sheets
- Experience with Systems Purchase Orders (not hand written)
- SAP experience
- Experience with research data sheets

- A Bachelors Degree (can be a new grad with a degree in procurement and an interest as a buyer)
