Job Description:
The primary concern of incumbent in this position is to oversee production employees engaged in Assembly, Winding, and Molding in order to effectively and safely drive production schedules. They may also be expected to provide direction/support to other supervisory staff. Qualified candidates will ideally possess five to eight years supervisory experience in a cabling / winding manufacturing environment for military applications and possess a customer first attitude. Position also requires administrative skills in dealing with a wide range of problems including proficiency on related administrative systems (Labor Tracking, Production Planning/Shop Floor Control, Time & Attendance.) The successful functioning of the department depends on astute placing of personnel, proper utilization of equipment, being ever alert for new methods of operation and maintaining harmonious relations within the department while ensuring a safe environmentPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Supervise manufacturing production employees. 2. Ensure adequate safety training and safeguards are implemented.3. Drive production schedules.4. Provide and report safety and production metrics.5. Ensure all quality /military standards and manufacturing process are followed.6. Interface with other departments (quality, engineering, sales)7. Maintain attendance and labor tracking systems in a timely manner.8. Promote / Implement 5S for areas of responsibilities.
