Job Description:
A minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience and 5 years supervisory experience is required. Bachelors Degree is preferred. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and manage a 35 person crew and support personnel. Some of the key functions that will need to be performed and managed are: Actively plan, deploy and advise necessary actions to meet the Corporate Scorecard and Performance goals. Manages production of all products and coordinates production schedules with the Vice President of Operations. Handles all aspects of personnel management at the plant level in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager. Defines capital projects including cost justification and timing and manages and coordinates assigned projects including bid approval and equipment purchasing. Manages safety programs, practices and training in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal laws. Determines any facility maintenance issues, and established preventive maintenance practices Directs quality control and training throughout the plant to meet company as well as customer requirements for quality and performs necessary audits. Communicates plant activities and issues to senior management. Troubleshoots errors/mistakes and instigates error prevention. Tracks actual performance versus budget for production, projects and costs.
