Job Description:
Conducting informational meetings and training sessions to satisfy regulatory requirements and promote general safety concepts and safety consciousness. Developing and providing training for regulatory compliance programs that can be implemented by location managers and/or supervisors, including but not limited to: safety orientation; hearing conservation; respiratory protection; hazard communication; electrical safety (lockout/tagout); chemical safety and process safety management; material handling and powered industrial vehicle permits; personal protective equipment; emergency response planning; and first aid response personnel. Administering the personal protective equipment benefit programs, for items such as prescription safety glasses and steel-toed shoes. Administering the facility security activities including keyless entry system and security staff. Establishing security operational procedures for activities such as guarding and patrolling physical property, traffic control, observation and reporting of safety problems, investigation of criminal acts and security staff scheduling. Preparing and maintaining governmental regulatory reports and permits including but not limited to emissions to air, surface water, stormwater, wastewater, groundwater, occupational safety, and industrial waste disposal.
