Job Description:
About the Position: Serves as the responsible professional for all work done in the Resident Office. Works under the general supervision of the Area Engineer with assignments made in terms of ongoing mission requirements. As Resident Engineer, incumbent is expected to plan, implement and accomplish program objectives with a high degree of independence within available guidelines. These include the regulations, program directives, and policies of this and higher headquarters, major construction contracts, construction industry standards, and pertinent Federal policies of those other Federal agencies having a necessary interest in the work. Supervisor is kept informed of progress and consulted on technical problems encountered and program and policy matters.
